HOAGLAND, IN — June 30, 2025 — A tragic accident earlier this month has taken the life of a Hoagland resident, as confirmed by the Allen County Coroner’s Office. The victim of the fatal rollover crash, which occurred on June 19, has been identified as 35-year-old Timothy Wayne Lepper.

Emergency responders were dispatched around 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, to the intersection of Hoagland Road and Grotrian Road, following reports of a serious vehicle crash with injuries. When officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department arrived at the scene, they discovered a devastating sight—a truck had rolled off the roadway, and the driver had been ejected from the vehicle during the crash.

The crash site, situated in the rural outskirts of Hoagland, was closed off for several hours as investigators from the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office worked to piece together the circumstances leading up to the rollover. It is not yet known what caused Lepper to lose control of the vehicle, or whether speed, weather conditions, or mechanical failure may have played a role.

The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not released further details regarding the incident.
