LOUISVILLE, MISSISSIPPI — Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the fatal drive-by shooting of 24-year-old Quincy Markez Haynes, a young Black man whose life was tragically cut short on the night of Tuesday, June 17, 2025. The Louisville Police Department, in coordination with the Winston County Sheriff’s Office, made the arrests on Wednesday, June 18, bringing a critical breakthrough in a case that has shaken the local community.

Suspects Identified and Charges Filed

The suspects — Ja’Lavian Hunt, 18, and Terence Randall Griffin Jr., 30, both residents of Louisville — are now facing serious charges related to the shooting.

  • Hunt has been formally charged with:
    • One count of murder
    • Three counts of aggravated assault
  • Griffin has been charged with:
    • One count of accessory before and after the fact to murder
    • Three counts of accessory before and after the fact to aggravated assault
