Cambridge Teen Shot in Ocean City Holiday Incident – Police Seek Public’s Help – Break Out News

OCEAN CITY, MD — The Ocean City Police Department is continuing its investigation into a holiday night shooting that left an 18-year-old male from Cambridge, Maryland, injured early on July 5, 2025.

According to officials, the incident occurred at approximately 12:46 a.m. at the intersection of 28th Street and Philadelphia Avenue, a busy area not far from the beach. Officers were already nearby when they heard gunfire and immediately responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, police located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm. He was quickly treated at the scene by Ocean City EMS and transported to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional. His injuries are described as non-life-threatening.

However, investigators say the victim is currently being uncooperative, complicating efforts to identify suspects or establish a clear motive. The Criminal Investigation Division’s Major Crimes Unit is actively pursuing leads in the case and urging members of the public to come forward with any information.

“We are asking anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or has information about those involved to reach out,” said Ocean City police officials. “Even the smallest detail could be crucial.”
