ST. GABRIEL, La. —The City of St. Gabriel is mourning the loss of one of its most beloved public servants, Capt. Devin “Curly” Boutte, who passed away tragically on Saturday, July 6, 2025, at the age of 34.
Capt. Boutte served the St. Gabriel Police Department with honor, integrity, and an unwavering dedication to the safety and well-being of the community. Throughout his career, he was recognized not only for his professionalism in law enforcement but also for his heart—always present at community events, mentoring youth, and serving as a pillar of strength during times of crisis.
