Florence Man Arrested After Thursday Night Shooting That Injured Two

FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. — A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a shooting that took place Thursday night in Florence, leaving two people injured and a juvenile shaken.

According to Captain Stephen Starling with the Florence Police Department, Antwan Bradley, of Florence, is facing multiple charges including:

  • Three counts of attempted murder
  • Possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime
  • Felon in possession of a weapon
  • Breach of peace, high and aggravated

Authorities responded to the scene after receiving reports of gunfire. Officers located three victims, including a juvenile. While the child was unharmed, two adults sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital. They are reported to be in stable condition.

Police believe the shooting was sparked by an altercation between Bradley and one of the victims. During the confrontation, Bradley allegedly pulled out a firearm and opened fire.

Investigators quickly gathered witness statements and were given details about a potential suspect and the vehicle involved. Utilizing FLOCK license plate recognition cameras, law enforcement tracked the suspect’s vehicle to Dillon, approximately 45 minutes after the shooting.

Upon arrival in Dillon, officers located Bradley at a hospital, where he was being treated for a minor gunshot wound. After he was medically cleared, Bradley was arrested and transported to the Florence County Detention Center, where he is now in custody.

Police have not yet released further information on the nature of the altercation or the identities of the victims. The investigation remains ongoing.
