Heather Marie Cooney, 40, of Camby, Indiana, passed away on July 4, 2025. Born in Beech Grove on January 14, 1985, Heather was the beloved daughter of Gary and Teresa (Rippy) Cooney.
Heather lived a life full of warmth, energy, and joy. She loved spending time with her family and friends—whether camping at Raccoon Lake, canoeing down rivers, braving whitewater rapids, or chasing thrills on roller coasters at Kings Island. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, from road trips and card games to watching classic and Disney movies. Heather was also a proud member of the choir at Mooresville Free Methodist Church, where her voice added beauty to worship and community.
A gifted mind with numbers, Heather had a talent for detail and a great sense of humor. Her playful spirit and love for laughter often showed up in good-natured pranks, bringing smiles to those around her. She also had a passion for collecting antiques and cherished the stories each piece seemed to tell.
Heather’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and connection. She is survived by her parents, Gary and Teresa Cooney; her son, Dillon D’Angelo; her sister, Ashlee Cooney; and her brother, Brandon Cooney. She is also deeply missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever hold her memory close.
