Onaway, Michigan, With profound sorrow and heavy hearts, the community of Onaway mourns the tragic and untimely passing of Nikko Jose Carano, who left this world on July 8, 2025, at just 12 years old.
Nikko Jose was a bright, compassionate, and joyful soul whose presence brought light into the lives of everyone they encountered. Whether it was through laughter shared with friends, tender moments with family, or their natural ability to brighten even the darkest day, Nikko left an indelible mark on this world in their short time here.
Their vibrant energy, curious mind, and loving heart will be deeply missed, yet forever remembered by those who were blessed to know and love them. Nikko Jose’s passing is a tremendous loss to their family, school, and the entire Onaway community.
Visitation for Nikko will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2025, giving family, friends, classmates, and neighbors the opportunity to come together, share memories, and honor a life that, though brief, was deeply meaningful. A funeral service and graveside ceremony will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, where Nikko will be laid to rest in peace and love.
As loved ones gather to say goodbye, they also celebrate a life that radiated joy, hope, and kindness. May Nikko Jose Carano’s light continue to guide us, and may their memory be a blessing for all the days to come.
