In loving memory of Sha’Quatrell “Quada” Harper – Break Out News

Springfield, OH — With broken hearts and profound sorrow, we mourn the tragic and untimely loss of Sha’Quatrell Harper—lovingly known as Quada—a vibrant 14-year-old whose life was filled with promise, laughter, and love.

Quada’s passing has left an unfillable void in the hearts of all who knew him. He was a beacon of light to his family, his friends, and his community—a joyful, kind-hearted soul who made the world brighter simply by being in it. Whether he was exploring new interests, sharing his infectious laughter, or offering a kind word, Quada touched lives in quiet, powerful ways.

Tragically, his life was cut short in a lake accident on Sunday evening. The Indianapolis Fire Department responded to the 5800 block of Fall Creek Parkway North shortly before 6:28 p.m. after Quada went into the lake from a pontoon boat and never resurfaced. Despite all efforts, he was not able to be brought back, and we now grieve a life lost far too soon.

In the midst of this heartbreak, we remember Quada for who he was—a curious, courageous, and compassionate young man. His absence is deeply felt, and his memory will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who loved him.

As we mourn, we also reflect on the importance of life, love, and legacy. Though Quada was not an organ donor, his story reminds us of the profound impact one life can have—and how even in loss, we are called to consider the gift of giving life to others. Through organ donation, we have the chance to extend hope and healing, carrying forward the values of kindness and generosity that Quada embodied.

We grieve together as a community, united in sorrow, yet strengthened by the memory of a remarkable young soul. Quada’s life, though brief, was deeply meaningful. May we hold tightly to his memory and let his spirit guide us toward greater love, compassion, and purpose.

May his light continue to shine through those who mourn him, and may he rest in eternal peace.
