Augusta, GA — A senseless act of violence has left 18-year-old Kiera Stroup paralyzed after a road-rage shooting on Interstate 20. Kiera, an innocent passenger in the vehicle, was struck by a bullet in the spine and underwent emergency spinal surgery on Thursday, leaving her with just a 10% chance of ever walking again, according to doctors.
The shooting unfolded when 17-year-old Cameron Howard allegedly opened fire during a reckless road-rage incident from a blue Tesla, driven by Miranda Myers. Investigators say the vehicle targeted Kiera and her friend Ahmad Moss, who was driving at the time. Ahmad was also injured, suffering a gunshot wound to the ankle.
Howard and Myers have both been arrested and charged with multiple felonies, including aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
