A 55-year-old registered sex offender, Timmothy Isaiah Hall, was arrested in Jacksonville over the weekend following an incident involving attempted child abduction and indecent exposure at a Daytona Beach store. The arrest was a collaborative effort between the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO), the Daytona Beach Police Department (DBPD), and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.
On Friday, July 11, 2025, Hall allegedly entered a business located at 2455 West International Speedway Boulevard in Daytona Beach. According to authorities, he exposed himself to a child and attempted to grab the child by the arm. The child screamed, alerting others nearby, which caused Hall to flee the scene. Fortunately, the child was unharmed.
Following an intensive investigation, Daytona Beach detectives identified Hall as the suspect. Learning he may have fled to Jacksonville, they sought assistance from JSO and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force. On Saturday, July 12, 2025, JSO officers located Hall in the Arlington neighborhood of Jacksonville, where he was sitting in a vehicle. With support from the JSO Aviation Unit and K-9 officers, a felony takedown was executed, and Hall was taken into custody without incident.
Hall’s criminal history adds gravity to the case. In 2010, he was arrested in Hillsborough County for lewd or lascivious exhibition involving a minor under 16. At the time, Hall was employed as a medical assistant at the Duval County Jail but resigned following his arrest. He was subsequently designated a registered sex offender.
Hall now faces charges of attempted kidnapping and lewd and lascivious exhibition, both on warrants issued out of Volusia County. He is currently being held without bond in Jacksonville and is expected to be transferred to Volusia County for prosecution.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office praised the joint effort that led to Hall’s swift apprehension, stating, “Thanks to the dedication of our officers, the Daytona Beach Police Department, and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, a dangerous individual has been removed from our community. Timmothy Hall will now face justice for his actions.”
Authorities are urging anyone with additional information about Timmothy Hall or potential related incidents to contact the Daytona Beach Police Department, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, or Crime Stoppers. This case underscores the critical role of community awareness and coordinated law enforcement action in safeguarding vulnerable individuals from predators.
