Obituary for Everett Arthur Brown – Break Out News

With broken hearts and unimaginable grief, the Shelby Township community mourns the tragic loss of Everett Arthur Brown, lovingly known by many as “Brownie Cakes.” Everett, just 15 years old, passed away on July 4th, 2025, as the result of a devastating off-road vehicle (ORV) accident. His passing has left an ache in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.

Everett was the kind of young man who made a lasting impression—bright, adventurous, joyful, and full of life. His infectious smile, boundless curiosity, and kind heart touched everyone he met. He was always up for an adventure, and his free spirit and love for the outdoors defined so much of who he was. He was a son, a brother, a grandson, a nephew, and a friend—but most of all, he was deeply loved.

He is the cherished son of Olivia & Nick Belz and Jason Brown, and the beloved brother of Saylor Belz, Jayla Brown, and Elaina Brown. Everett was the precious grandson of Susan & Stephen Horne and Star & Mark Belz, and a dear nephew to Kelly Thomas, Joe Thomas, Tyler Horne, Tim & Maria Belz, Pete Belz, and Meghan Scaccia. He will also be sorely missed by many cousins, extended family members, and countless dear friends whose lives were forever changed by his presence.

In just 15 short years, Everett filled the world around him with laughter, kindness, and adventure. Whether racing through trails, lighting up a room with a joke, or simply showing love to his family and friends, Everett embodied a spirit far larger than his years.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at:
Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc. (Shelby Township)
54880 Van Dyke at 25 Mile Rd.

Loved ones are invited to share memories, stories, and messages of support with the family via the online guest book available on the funeral home’s website.

Everett’s light may have gone out far too soon, but his memory will forever shine in the hearts of all who knew him.

Rest in peace, sweet Brownie Cakes. You were a gift to this world, and you will never be forgotten. 🕊️💙
