The Kenner Police Department reported that a 26-year-old man was involved in a high-speed chase following aggressive driving near Airline Highway around 2:30 a.m.
According to police, officers observed the man driving a gold Honda Pilot recklessly and believed he was engaged in a confrontation with a driver in a red Ford Mustang. The situation escalated when police attempted to pull the vehicle over for questioning.
Instead of stopping, the man accelerated, fleeing the scene at a dangerous speed. During the pursuit, he crossed West Metairie Avenue and ultimately lost control of the vehicle, crashing into a canal bank. Emergency responders arrived quickly to provide medical assistance.
