San Antonio Man Arrested in Double Homicide at H-E-B Parking Lot

In a tragic incident that unfolded late Sunday night, July 13, 2025, Lorenzo Aleman, a 49-year-old San Antonio resident, was arrested and charged with capital murder following a deadly shooting in the parking lot of an H-E-B located in the 4100 block of South New Braunfels Avenue. The shooting, which occurred just before 11 p.m., claimed the lives of two individuals—a 41-year-old woman, identified as Aleman’s estranged wife, and a 31-year-old man, believed to be her new romantic partner.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, the victims had arranged to meet Aleman in the H-E-B parking lot. An altercation ensued, escalating into gunfire. When officers arrived at the scene, they found both victims suffering from gunshot wounds and pronounced them dead on-site. Authorities described the incident as a possible “love triangle” fueled by jealousy, with Aleman allegedly shooting his ex-partner and her companion.

Thanks to tips from witnesses, police were able to apprehend Aleman approximately five hours after the shooting, early Monday morning, July 14, 2025. He now faces capital murder charges in connection with the double homicide.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to uncover additional details about the events leading up to the tragic shooting. The identities of the victims have not been publicly released, pending notification of their families.
