SHREVEPORT, LA — A wave of grief has swept over the Shreveport community following the tragic and senseless killing of Corinthian Shepard, a 40-year-old woman who was shot and killed in her own home early Saturday morning.
According to the Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office, Corinthian was discovered with a gunshot wound inside her residence in the 6200 block of North Windermere Drive, nestled in the normally quiet Huntington Park neighborhood. First responders arrived shortly after 7:00 a.m., and she was pronounced deceased at 7:09 a.m. at the scene.
Corinthian’s death marks the 19th homicide in Shreveport this year, and the 24th across Caddo Parish, a sobering reminder of the violence that continues to plague our communities.
