SOMERSET, Ky — A devastating accident over the weekend has left the Somerset and Monticello communities in mourning after the death of 39-year-old Linda Green, who was fatally struck while attempting to cross Highway 27 on the night of Saturday, June 28, 2025.
Authorities say Linda, a Monticello resident, was trying to cross the busy roadway when she was hit by an oncoming vehicle. Emergency responders rushed to the scene, but despite their efforts, Linda was tragically pronounced dead.
