Saginaw, MI – The Saginaw Police Department has identified Latoya Roby, 41, as the driver who tragically lost her life following a two-vehicle collision on the night of Friday, July 4, 2025.
At approximately 11:10 p.m., officers responded to reports of a pedestrian struck at the intersection of S. Washington and Holden streets. Upon arrival, it was determined that no pedestrian was involved, but rather a serious crash between two vehicles that resulted in multiple injuries.
Preliminary investigations indicate one vehicle was traveling southbound on S. Washington, while the second vehicle was attempting to enter the roadway eastbound from a parking lot near Holden when the collision occurred.
One of the vehicles was occupied by four individuals, all of whom were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The second vehicle, driven by Latoya Roby, had three occupants. While the two passengers sustained non-life-threatening injuries, Latoya suffered severe injuries and was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Latoya Roby is being remembered by family and friends as a vibrant and loving individual whose life was tragically cut short. Her passing has left a profound void in the hearts of her loved ones and the broader Saginaw community.
