Tragic Stabbing Claims Life of 16-Year-Old Girl in Bronx Deli

On Tuesday, July 15, 2025, a 16-year-old girl was fatally stabbed inside a deli in the Williamsbridge section of the Bronx, according to the New York Police Department. The incident occurred just before 4 p.m. at Deli Grocery, located at 3511 Boston Road near Mickle Avenue.

The victim, identified as Aliyah Williams, was found with multiple stab wounds to her face, chest, and body. Emergency Medical Services rushed her to Jacobi Medical Center in critical condition, where she was later pronounced dead. Williams lived just down the block from the deli where the attack took place.

Rose Anderson, the victim’s grandmother, was at work when she received the devastating news of her granddaughter’s death. “It’s sad, really sad to take someone’s life like that,” Anderson said. “She’s a beautiful kid, and she’s a nice child.” Earlier that day, Williams had texted her grandmother asking for $10 to buy food, marking their final communication.

Police sources indicate the stabbing stemmed from a verbal dispute inside the deli, during which Williams allegedly threw water on the suspect. The suspect, described as a female wearing all black, white sneakers, and a red or pink headpiece or durag, fled the scene. No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS. Tips can be provided confidentially to assist in the investigation.
