Burkham, has confirmed the recovery of two bodies from the site but has not publicly identified the victims, pending notification of next of kin. The explosion occurred at approximately 4:21 p.m. in the 200 block of S. Roosevelt Street, when the Central Illinois Regional Dispatch Center received multiple 911 calls reporting a loud explosion followed by a structure fire.
