Police search for possibly armed subjects after crash in Chicago’s south suburbs

Authorities are searching for four men who fled on foot after a traffic crash Monday morning in Chicago’s south suburbs.

What we know:

Tinley Park police said they are helping Matteson officers in the area of Vollmer Road and Harlem Avenue.

According to police, five men dressed in all black took off on foot westbound from the scene of a crash. The men may be armed with handguns.

At 6:50 a.m., Tinley Park PD announced one of the subjects was in custody.

What we don’t know:

Police have not released details about the crash itself, whether anyone was injured, or what led up to the incident.
