Beloved Atlanta Dentist Vanishes — Her Car Found Abandoned, Family and Town in Shock

Dr. Melanie Nadler, a respected dentist serving Metro Atlanta, went missing after failing to report to work Tuesday morning — and her empty vehicle, discovered abandoned in a Barrett Parkway parking lot, has only deepened the mystery.

Friends, colleagues, and the community are growing concerned. Dr. Nadler, who practices at Family Dentistry at Seven Hills in Dallas, Georgia, simply never showed up on that Tuesday. Her close friend alerted authorities when she couldn’t reach her and learned that her car had been found without any sign of where she might have gone.

She is married, and she and her husband share a teenage son. The family also keeps two birds, and they have lived in Marietta, Georgia since 2004. Before settling in Marietta, Melanie grew up in Brooklyn, New York — a journey that shaped her drive and commitment to giving back to her adopted community.

Those who know her say she’s much more than a dentist. Since 2009, Dr. Nadler has been an active participant in the Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer, walking some 30 miles each year with her son to raise funds and awareness. Over the years, her son has joined her every step of the way — making their collaboration a symbol of love, family, and resilience.

Right now, her sudden absence is a wrenching puzzle. There’s no indication of foul play — no word on her whereabouts or state of mind — and the discovery of her car offers more questions than answers. The very routes she used every day now echo with worry and unanswered prayers.

Law enforcement is urging anyone who sees Dr. Nadler — or even someone matching her description — to notify 911 immediately. Her family, her patients, and her community are holding their breath, hoping for news and praying for her safe return.
