Kind‑Hearted Father of Three Killed in High‑Speed Chase and Crash in Midwest City

Late on Monday evening, November 3, 2025, the life of 49‑year‑old Brice Lajuan Edwards ended far too soon following a dramatic pursuit and collision in Midwest City, Oklahoma. His passing has left a community reeling—and grieving a man whose warmth and humor brightened every room he entered.

According to official reports from the Midwest City Police Department and other local agencies, dispatch received a call around 8:12 p.m. about an alleged assault and a vehicle theft in the nearby town of Harrah. Officers soon identified a vehicle matching the description on South Sooner Road. The driver, later confirmed as Brice Edwards, reportedly refused to pull over, prompting a pursuit through residential streets and onto SE 15th Street.

In an attempt to end the chase safely, officers executed a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI) maneuver. The vehicle crashed into another car near the 8500 block of SE 15th Street. Emergency personnel arrived quickly, performed life‑saving efforts on Edwards, and transported him to a hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the other vehicle involved sustained minor injuries.

The department has confirmed Edwards as the person killed in the crash. Investigations are ongoing by both the Midwest City Police Department and the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office, and the officer who carried out the TVI has been placed on paid administrative leave, as is standard in such incidents.

Beyond the facts of the crash, there is a far more human story: Brice Lajuan Edwards was known to many as a loving son, a devoted father, a loyal brother and friend. He faced life’s challenges head‑on with resilience and often brought laughter into everyday moments. His generosity and warm spirit touched those around him deeply. His loved ones now have the void of his absence to fill.

In their grief, the family has asked for privacy and for the comfort that comes from prayers and shared memories. Though his life ended unexpectedly, Brice’s legacy lives in the hearts of those who knew him—his stories, his laughter, his gentle strength will not be forgotten.

As the community watches this investigation unfold, they also pause in reflection. How easily a night’s “what if” can turn into a resignation of pain. Brice’s memory urges us to hold our loved ones close, to cherish the kindness and joy people offer, even in the briefest of times. May his soul rest in peace and his family find solace in the imprint he left behind.
