Late on Friday, October 31, 2025, at a home on Monroe Court, authorities say Chris lost his life in a shooting that stunned the town.
According to local reports and public postings from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the Monroe Court scene after gunfire was reported. Chris was found with gunshot wounds and, despite the prompt arrival of first responders, he tragically did not survive. The investigation is still active as detectives work to determine how and why this happened.

In the days since, his memory has inspired an outpouring of affection and grief.
