Promising Life Cut Short in Catasauqua — 19‑Year‑Old Found Shot Inside Home

A 19‑year‑old Allentown man was found dead Saturday evening inside a home in the 200 block of Edward Lane in Catasauqua, Pa., bringing shock and grief to the quiet borough of Lehigh County. According to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office & Forensic Center, officers arrived at the residence and at 5:46 p.m. the young man was pronounced dead at the scene of a gunshot wound.

The coroner’s office, under the direction of Daniel Buglio, has ruled the death a homicide, citing the gunshot injury as the cause. As required in such cases, a full autopsy and radiological examination are scheduled for Monday.

While the victim’s identity has been confirmed by authorities and family members have been notified, his name is being withheld until after the autopsy out of respect for the family’s privacy.
