Ohio mom accused of injecting feces into her child’s IV at the hospital, cops say

An Ohio woman is being accused of injecting feces into her child’s IV while they were in the hospital, according to police.

Tiffany Lesueur, 35, of Maumee, has been arrested on a third-degree felony charge of endangering children, according to court records seen by Fox8. She appeared in Franklin County Municipal Court Tuesday.

Columbus Police Division of Physical Abuse responded to a call at Nationwide Children’s Hospital on February 6, where they were told about suspected abuse of a child by Lesueur, the network reports.

Hospital staff told officers that all of her future visits with the child would be monitored.

Two days later, staff allegedly saw Lesueur enter the bathroom with a cup and collect what appeared to be fecal matter. She then put the the substance into a syringe and injected it into the IV line on the child’s hand. After seeing the footage, staff called police again, according to reports.

She was arrested and has been charged with child endangerment.

The Independent has contacted the Columbus Police Department for more information.

It’s unclear why the infant was in the hospital in the first place. A spokesperson for the hospital declined to comment on the matter citing federal privacy law.

Lesueur made her first court appearance on Tuesday, where she was granted bail on the condition that she have no unsupervised contact with any minors.

Her next court hearing is scheduled for February 19.
