Body of 39-Week Pregnant Michigan Woman Found — Fiancé and Sister in Custody

A body believed to be that of 22-year-old Rebecca Kay Park — who vanished just weeks before her due date — was discovered Tuesday in the Manistee National Forest, Michigan. Moments after the grim discovery, her fiancé, 43-year-old Richard Lee Falor, and her 21-year-old sister, Kimberly Sue Park, were taken into custody by authorities.

According to officials, the body was located around 2:16 p.m. on Tuesday by a civilian searcher, near where Rebecca had last been seen. While the remains closely match Rebecca’s description, law enforcement has not yet confirmed identification — awaiting results from an autopsy.

Rebecca was first reported missing on Nov. 4 after being spotted entering a dark-colored vehicle outside her mother’s home in Boon Township at approximately 11:30 p.m. the previous night. Witnesses say she told her mother someone was coming to pick her up — but she declined to say who. That same day, she reportedly received $2,000 from a family inheritance.

Her disappearance triggered a massive search effort by multiple agencies, involving K-9 teams, drones, volunteers, and community members. Two days after she vanished, her cellphone was found discarded on a dirt “two-track” road near her mother’s home — a startling detail given how rarely she went anywhere without it.

For weeks, authorities described the case as a missing persons investigation. At no point did they confirm evidence of foul play — no violent signs, no bloodied clothing, nothing that pointed definitively to assault.

Then Tuesday’s discovery: the body believed to be Rebecca’s. Within hours, both Richard Falor and Kimberly Park were booked into the Wexford County Sheriff’s Office jail — Falor around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Kimberly just after midnight Wednesday. Court records do not yet list any formal charges against them.

At this point, investigators remain tight-lipped. They have not confirmed whether a newborn was found, nor whether Rebecca had given birth before her death. The cause and manner of death remain unknown until toxicology and further forensic analysis — autopsy results that may take days. What is clear now: a young woman, just weeks from motherhood, is gone — and two people once closest to her are behind bars. The community, her loved ones, and the police are all waiting for answers.
