14‑Year‑Old Isha Mishra Killed Crossing Street in Flower Mound — Police Say Truck Moved as She Began to Cross

FLOWER MOUND, Texas — A 14-year-old girl died Tuesday after she was struck by a pickup truck while crossing a road in north Texas, officials said.

According to the Flower Mound Police Department and other authorities, the crash happened around 3:45–4:00 p.m. at the intersection of Valley Ridge Boulevard and Browning Drive. The victim, later identified as Isha Mishra, was taken to Medical City Denton hospital by the Flower Mound Fire Department, where she was pronounced dead.


Investigators say a 2020 Chevrolet pickup truck, driven by a 60‑year-old local resident, was stopped at a stop sign on Browning Drive when it began moving just as Mishra started crossing. The truck struck her in the intersection.

The teen was a ninth-grade student at Marcus High School in Lewisville Independent School District (LISD). The district confirmed the tragic news and offered support to students and staff coping with the loss.

The driver was not injured and remained at the scene. As of Tuesday evening, the road remained closed and the investigation remained ongoing.

This heartbreaking loss has shocked the community. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
