Rickey Williams Wanted — Cleveland Police Seek SUV Linked to Fatal Shooting

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Police is urgently asking the public for help after a man was found dead on a street Tuesday night, and a suspect remains at large. Authorities have identified the suspect as 46-year-old Rickey Williams.

At about 11:30 p.m., officers on patrol in Cleveland’s Fifth District responded to a report at the 10600 block of Superior Avenue, near East 106th Street. They discovered a man — later identified as a 51-year-old — lying in the center of the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators say the victim appears to have been shot inside a vehicle, then discarded onto the road by the driver. Detectives are now searching not only for Williams, but also for the vehicle believed to be involved: a black 2015 Nissan Rogue, bearing Ohio license plate JVY 6187. The SUV is described as having a missing hubcap on the rear passenger side, and a distinctive “JDBNOW.com” sticker on the rear windshield.

Williams has an active arrest warrant tied to the homicide and is considered “armed and dangerous,” according to police.

The Cleveland Police are urging anyone with information — no matter how minor — about Williams’ whereabouts or the vehicle to call 216-621-1234. Anonymous tips may be submitted to CrimeStoppers at (216) 252-7463; tips leading to an arrest may qualify for a reward of up to $5,000.

This remains an active investigation. Authorities emphasize the suspect should not be approached under any circumstances. Stay tuned: we’ll bring updates as more information becomes available.
