PVHS Class of 2005 Mourns with Ashley Dockery After Tragic Loss of Her Daughter
It is with a heavy and broken heart that I write to share some deeply tragic news within our PVHS family. Our dear classmate, Ashley Dockery (Chavez), is enduring a loss no parent should ever have to face—the devastating and unimaginable loss of her beloved daughter in a tragic car accident.
There are no words that can truly capture the depth of pain Ashley and her family are going through right now. As classmates, as friends, and as people who walked the same halls and shared countless memories with Ashley, our hearts ache for her. In times like this, it’s easy to feel helpless—but it’s also in these moments that the power of community, connection, and compassion can mean everything.
Ashley was, and continues to be, a light to those who know her. In high school, she brought laughter and warmth wherever she went. Today, she is a grieving mother who needs the love and strength of those around her. As her Class of 2005 family, we want her to know she is not alone. We are thinking of her. We are holding space for her sorrow. We are sending love and lifting her up in prayer.
If you feel moved to offer support—whether through words, messages, or simply letting her know you’re thinking of her—Ashley is reachable through social media. Even the smallest gesture of kindness can provide a moment of comfort during such an overwhelming time. She would deeply appreciate any expression of love, encouragement, or prayers you are willing to share.
In addition, for those who feel called to help the family financially, a donation link has been provided below. Contributions of any amount will go directly toward supporting Ashley and her family during this incredibly difficult period, helping to ease the burden of unexpected funeral costs and other associated expenses.
A photo from her daughter’s funeral services is also shared below—a tender and heartbreaking reminder of the precious life that was lost far too soon. While no donation or message can take away the pain Ashley is feeling, your support can be a small but meaningful way to help carry some of that weight.
Let us come together—as classmates, as a community, as a family—to lift Ashley and her loved ones during this painful time. Let us show her that she is not alone, that she is remembered, and that the Class of 2005 still stands together, even after all these years.
