With hearts heavy with sorrow, the community of Seminary, Mississippi, mourns the untimely passing of Katherine Taylor Ellzey, who departed this life on July 1, 2025, at the age of 32. Her radiant personality, compassionate soul, and unwavering love for others left an unforgettable mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Katherine was a woman of extraordinary warmth and strength. She approached life with grace, humor, and resilience — qualities that made her not only beloved by her family, but deeply admired by friends, neighbors, and all who shared in her journey. Whether lending a listening ear, offering a heartfelt hug, or simply sharing a smile, Katherine had a remarkable way of making people feel valued and seen.
She was a devoted wife to Johnny Ellzey, Jr., and a loving mother to their cherished children. Her love for her family was the heartbeat of her life, and her presence filled their home with laughter, care, and immeasurable joy. Katherine also leaves behind her loving parents, siblings, and a wide circle of extended family and close friends who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
To celebrate and honor Katherine’s beautiful life, a memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at The Springs Church in Collins, Mississippi. All who knew and loved Katherine are invited to attend and share in the remembrance of her life, her legacy, and the love she gave so freely.
