Jared Alan Felix, born December 1, 1994, passed away peacefully in his home on June 26, 2025, at the age of 30, following a long and courageous battle with alcohol addiction. Though his journey was marked by hardship, Jared lived a life full of connection, adventure, and unconditional love for those around him.
Jared was raised in Henderson, MN by his devoted mother, Shanna Felix, with the loving support of his grandfather, Warren Felix. He attended elementary and middle school at Le Sueur-Henderson, where he began forming the deep friendships and sharp wit he became known for. After the passing of his mother in 2008, Jared moved to Belgrade, MT to live with his uncle, Steve Felix. Eventually, he relocated to St. Peter, MN, where he lived with his sister, Lora Wilkins (Felix), and her husband, James (Jim) Wilkins, graduating from high school in 2013.
Despite the upheaval he experienced in his youth, Jared was resilient, outgoing, and always made friends wherever he went. His warmth and sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
For several years, Jared worked jobs that took him across the country—visiting dozens of states, collecting unforgettable stories, and building lifelong friendships. His love of adventure was matched only by his love for family. Eventually, he chose to settle down to be closer to his three nephews, who meant the world to him.
“Uncle Jared” was a hero to Landon, Dawson, and Nixon Wilkins—a constant presence who filled their lives with outdoor adventures, laughter, and lessons in fishing, hunting, and embracing life. He made sure every moment with them was full of fun and discovery. He was fiercely loyal, quick-witted, unapologetically honest, and deeply kind.

- Cousins: Anna, Ava, and Alex Anderley, Claire Felix, Brynlee and Charlotte Toft
He is preceded in death by his beloved mother Shanna Felix, grandmother Beverly Felix, and uncle Brian Felix.
Jared’s life will be honored at a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Gault Park in St. Peter, MN. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate the life of a man whose presence brought light, laughter, and love to everyone lucky enough to know him.
Jared’s story is one of strength, loyalty, and a heart that never stopped giving. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched, the stories he left behind, and the family who will carry his memory forever.
