In Loving Memory of Sandra Marisol Fuentes – Break Out News

Berlin, New Hampshire, It is with unimaginable heartbreak that we mourn the tragic and senseless loss of Sandra Marisol Fuentes, a beloved daughter, sister, coworker, and dear friend. Marisol, as many knew her, was taken from this world far too soon in an act of violence that has devastated the Berlin community and shaken all who knew and loved her.

Marisol was so much more than the headlines or news updates might suggest. She was vibrant, compassionate, fiercely loyal, and deeply rooted in the love of her family and friends. Known for her radiant smile and calming presence, Marisol brought light and grace into every space she entered. She worked alongside her family at La Casita, her brother’s restaurant on Hillside Avenue, where she was a familiar and friendly face to many in Berlin. Her kindness, dedication, and gentle spirit touched coworkers and customers alike, making her not only a valued employee but a part of so many people’s daily lives.

To her friends, Marisol was the kind of person you could count on in your darkest hour. She listened without judgment, gave of herself freely, and celebrated others’ joys as if they were her own. To her family, she was a source of pride, strength, and love. She had been enduring difficult circumstances in silence, navigating a painful and dangerous domestic situation that sadly culminated in the loss of her life—a life that should have been protected.

According to the Berlin Police Department, Marisol was shot and killed by her husband shortly after his release from the Coös County Department of Corrections, where he had been held in connection with a domestic violence case involving her. An ongoing divorce case was also underway. The system that should have shielded her failed to do so, and now her loved ones are left with grief, anger, and deep sorrow.

To those who knew Marisol personally—or are now learning her name—please, we ask that you respect her memory and allow her family and closest friends the time and space to grieve. This is a time for dignity, not speculation. A time to seek truth, not attention. And a time to stand against the kind of silence and misinformation that too often follows victims of domestic violence.

Before posting, sharing, or discussing her story publicly, we ask that you consider her family’s pain and honor her life with the respect and truth she so deserves. Do not contribute to rumors, clickbait, or confusion. Let her legacy be one of love, strength, and courage—not reduced to headlines or assumptions.

Please keep Sandra Marisol Fuentes and her loved ones in your prayers.

May she be granted the peace in death that eluded her in life, and may the truth prevail so that justice, however delayed, may finally begin.

Rest in peace, Marisol. Your light will never be forgotten.
