A pillar of strength, love, and wisdom to his family and friends, Gene’s presence brought warmth and comfort to everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
Gene was a man defined by quiet resilience, a deep love for his family, and the kind of steady presence that made everyone feel safe and valued. Whether offering advice from his front porch or cheering on loved ones from the sidelines, he embodied what it meant to be a devoted father, grandfather, and friend.
His loss has left a profound void in the hearts of many, and while his family works to organize the farewell Gene deserves, they are facing unexpected financial challenges in arranging his funeral services. In the spirit of community and compassion that Gene so often extended to others, his loved ones are asking for support—through donations, prayers, or flowers—as they come together to celebrate his life and legacy.
“Pawpaw meant everything to us,” one family member shared. “His stories, his hugs, his steady hand—he was our rock. We just want to send him off the way he would’ve wanted: with love, dignity, and peace.”
