GLENNVILLE, Ga. — A peaceful Sunday morning in the quiet city of Glennville was disrupted by a violent incident that resulted in one fatality and two others injured. Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting, which occurred in a residential area shortly after sunrise.
Officers with the Glennville Police Department responded to reports of gunfire and arrived on the scene to find 32-year-old Alvin Lashawn Williams suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two additional individuals, whose identities have not yet been released, were also found injured and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not been disclosed, but officials say they are expected to survive.
Law enforcement has not yet announced any arrests, and investigators are working to determine a motive for the shooting. It remains unclear whether the victims knew each other or if the incident was targeted.
