Tragic Crash Claims Lives of Father and Son in Monroe – Break Out News


MONROE, N.C. — The Monroe Police Department has officially released the names of the two victims tragically killed in a fatal crash that occurred on Sunday, July 6.

The accident took place near the intersection of East Franklin Street and Morgan Mill Road, a heavily traveled area in Monroe. Authorities responded to the scene shortly after the crash was reported and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The victims have been identified as 38-year-old Wilson Antonio Broadway Jr. and his 4-year-old son, Ja’Miaz Robinson Broadway. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency responders described the crash as severe, though details regarding the cause or any other vehicles involved have not yet been made public. The Monroe Police Department continues to investigate and urges anyone with information or who may have witnessed the crash to come forward.

“This is a heartbreaking tragedy for our community,” said a representative from the department. “Our thoughts are with the family as they cope with the unimaginable loss of a father and young child.”

Counseling resources and grief support services are being made available for those impacted by the tragedy.
