Anaheim, CA, With heavy hearts, we share the tragic news of the passing of Jasmine Nguyen, an 8-year-old girl from Anaheim, whose life was cut short on July 4, 2025, following a fireworks accident in Buena Park.
The accident occurred in the midst of holiday celebrations, turning what should have been a joyful evening into a devastating tragedy. First responders arrived quickly and found Jasmine with critical injuries consistent with a fireworks-related explosion. Despite immediate life-saving efforts and transport to the University of California, Irvine hospital, Jasmine was sadly pronounced dead.
Jasmine’s death has left an indescribable void in the lives of her family—especially her mother, Bi, who just four months ago lost her own father. Now, Bi is faced with the unimaginable: grieving her beloved daughter while caring for her elderly mother and Jasmine’s 7-year-old sister, the only child she has left.
Jasmine may have only had eight years on this earth, but her impact was profound. She was a compassionate, joyful soul who radiated kindness. She had a gift for making others feel seen, especially those who felt left out. Her laughter, her hugs, and her magic in everyday moments are memories her loved ones will carry forever.
