58-Year-Old Faces Multiple Sex Crime Charges After Holding Woman Captive in Washington County

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 58-year-old Dru Hendrix following a disturbing case involving kidnapping and multiple sex crimes in Aloha, Oregon. Authorities are concerned that additional victims may exist and are urging the public to come forward with any relevant information.

**Initial Report and Investigation
On July 21, 2025, a 20-year-old woman contacted the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, reporting that she had been held against her will and sexually assaulted at a residence on SW Applegate Drive in Aloha. The victim stated she did not know the suspect prior to the incident. The case was promptly handed over to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit, which launched an in-depth investigation.

Detectives identified Dru Hendrix, a resident of the home where the alleged assault took place, as the primary suspect. As the investigation unfolded, authorities uncovered an additional allegation: Hendrix is also accused of sexually assaulting an elderly man, believed to be in his 80s, at the same residence.

**Arrest and Search Warrant Execution
On July 22, 2025, in the early morning hours, the Washington County Tactical Negotiations Team and Crisis Negotiations Unit supported detectives in executing a search warrant at Hendrix’s home. Hendrix was arrested without incident and booked into the Washington County Jail, where he is currently being held without bail pending a preventative detention hearing.

**Charges Against Dru Hendrix
Dru Hendrix faces a series of serious charges, including:

– Three counts of Sodomy in the First Degree
– Two counts of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree
– Unlawful Sexual Penetration in the First Degree
– Kidnapping in the First Degree
– Attempt to Commit Compelling Prostitution
– Probation Violations, related to prior offenses including stalking, attempting to elude police, and being a felon in possession of a weapon

Authorities have indicated that additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues. Hendrix also has an open case in Columbia County from a 2024 arrest, which is currently under review.

**History of Concerning Behavior
The investigation revealed a troubling pattern of behavior spanning over 15 years. Hendrix has been the subject of multiple complaints, primarily involving stalking and inappropriate conduct toward women. While many of these incidents did not result in prosecution, some led to active stalking and restraining orders against him. Detectives are now revisiting these past reports in light of the current allegations.

Hendrix previously owned Hendrix Motor Company, an auto repair shop in Portland. Numerous customers and former employees have reported that Hendrix exhibited predatory behavior toward women at the business, including harassment and inappropriate comments. These accounts are now being reexamined as part of the ongoing investigation.

**Appeal for Additional Victims and Public Assistance
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office strongly believes there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward, possibly due to fear, shame, or a belief that their accounts would not be taken seriously. Detectives are urging anyone with information about Dru Hendrix or related incidents to contact the Sheriff’s Office immediately.

Individuals with relevant information are asked to call 503-846-2700 and reference case number 50-25-10089. The Sheriff’s Office emphasizes that all reports will be handled with care and confidentiality to support victims and further the investigation.
