A tragic multi-vehicle crash on October 19 in Etowah County, Alabama, claimed the life of 22-year-old Amber N. Lee of Blountsville. The incident occurred on U.S. 278 near mile marker 120, approximately five miles west of Attalla.
According to authorities, Lee was a passenger in a Toyota Camry when it was struck by a pickup truck. Following the initial collision, the Camry was hit again by a second pickup. The driver of the Camry sustained injuries and was transported to UAB Hospital, along with a 1-year-old passenger who was also hospitalized. The driver of the first pickup involved in the crash was also taken to UAB Hospital, while a passenger from the second pickup was treated at Gadsden Regional Hospital.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the tragic accident.
